The writer and revolutionary Rosa Luxemburg collected, pressed and carefully archived flowers and plants throughout her life. Between 1916-1918 she was imprisoned for her political activities and during this time she continued to press flowers, collecting them in the prison yard and receiving them in letters from friends. »The primroses illuminate my cell like sunlight« she wrote to a friend from prison.

A collection of these flowers make up the floral wallpaper for the reading room of the book project.
