Costume for "Los Angeles" by Noha Ramadan
Produced by Sophiensaele Berlin, 2015
In ‘Los Angeles’ Noha Ramadan channels the chaotic and coexistent worlds of information, fantasy, and mythology. She mutates text into action into movement, crashing elements together and spinning tales of disrupted utopias. Her custome consists of a pleated skirt, a t-shirt with an applique pattern, skin color knee pads and Air Jordans, and a cape. The skirt and cape is made out of retro-reflective fabric, so is the the halo-shaped applique pattern on the grey t-shirt, making the pattern visible only in certain light.
