Ebba Fransén Waldhör is an artist, designer and researcher based in Berlin. She works in spatial installation and design research, with a primary focus on textiles. Since 2014, she develops environments and stage designs for artists, writers, and institutions.
Fransén Waldhör’s work has been exhibited at Centre d'Art Contemporain, Geneva (2018), and she has developed spatial concepts for transmediale, Berlin (2019) and Kunst-Werke Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2018), among other places.
Since 2016, she has created performance installations in collaboration with artist/writer Hannah Black and musician Bonaventure at the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London; the Chisenhale Gallery, London; and MoMA PS1, New York.
Fransén Waldhör also works as a design researcher at the Berlin Weissensee Academy of the Arts, where she researches shape memory alloys in fabric and how these can be applied in an architectural context.
